Terms & Conditions

Woodland Trek Safaris (WTS) please read the below Terms & Conditions which should be apply to any tours booked with us carefully as they cover many issues that apply to your safari booking and will answer questions you might have related to your agreement to travel with MAS.

These Terms & Conditions govern the contractual relationship between Woodland Trek Safaris and yourself.

    Deposits & Final Payment
  • Upon booking a tour with MAS 30 % deposit is required to secure the tour and begin the necessary booking processes and ground preparations. Payment instructions will be communicated via email.
  • Final balance payment of the tour booked is required no later than 6 weeks before the tour starts.
  • Bookings made within 6 weeks of the tour start date should be paid in full.
All payments must be made in US dollars. You can make the payment through online credit card or wire draft.

Cancellation Policy

Should you be forced to cancel your tour, you must inform us in writing. In order to cover our estimated loss caused by your cancellation, cancellation fees will be charged per person as follows:

Days Prior to Departure Date: % of the total safari cost to pay
61 days or more Loss of deposit
60-45 days 30% of the total safari cost
44-29 days 60% of the total safari cost
28-7 days 90% of the total safari cost
Less than 7 days 100% of the total safari cost

Please note that cancellation fees are based on the date your written notification is received at Woodland Trek Safaris.

Amendment Policy

Woodland Trek Safaris (WTS) is flexible about making amendments to meet your needs,interests and budget, provided all changes are made in time and in written form. Depending on the specific changes you would request, the package price is subjected to change. Any changes in your safari package that incurs extra cost will be charged accordingly and WTS will inform you of such.

Price Changes

All WTS package prices are subjected to change with regards to park fees, government taxes or other costs incurred by WTS through government regulations and policies, the costs of which befalls upon the client.

Luggage

All luggage and personal effects are the client’s responsibility. WTS do not accept any liability for any loss or damage of personal belongings while in international transit. However, if your luggage gets lost while in transit or does not arrive with you, WTS will do its best to help you retrieve it and have it delivered to your hotel upon its arrival. Clients are allowed to bring one bag of not more than 23kg (backpack or soft bag – no hardtop suitcase). WTS reserve the right to refuse excess baggage.

Client Responsibility

It is the clients’ responsibility to check all travel documents such as passports, visas and vaccination certificates before your departure date are valid and certified and also your flights and ensures all pre-booking procedures prior to your visit to Tanzania are valid and legally sound. Clients will not receive a credit or refund of agreed quotation if failing to prepare appropriate documents prior or upon arrival. MAS does not take responsibility for any loss, theft or otherwise of any valuables, documents, tickets, (credit) cards, money or any other tangible good in possession of the client.

Risks

Woodland Trek Safaris (WTS) will not be responsible for injury, calamity, damage, dissatisfaction or any other damaging event (material, immaterial or otherwise) to the clients travel experience, while on safari, if and when; directions, protocols, rules or guidelines given by the responsible guide and / or MAS are not followed by the client. MAS is not be liable for aforementioned at any accommodations.
